Workshop on the self-critical use of media/social media

On 28 January 2025, the classes of the vocational preparation year and the vocational school met with media educator Kay Albrecht from Erfurt. In a two-hour block, he discussed the healthy and self-critical use of media/social media with them and provided valuable input on how the pupils can protect themselves from dangers such as excessive use, cybercropping or fake news.

The workshop was very engaging for the pupils and provided plenty of space for individual questions and discussions.

At the end, they were even able to create their own little ‘meme’ on the topic.

The event was organised and planned by the school social worker Ms Göbel, the head of department Ms Seyfert and Ms Födisch (Youth Education/Youth Meeting, City of Gera).
