On 30.01.2025, our school's volleyball tournament took place for the 6th time on the last Thursday before the winter holidays.
24 teams had registered. 23 teams were then at the start. Right from the start, the games were at a good to high level. Every point was fought for. In the end, the team of 2nd-year insurance and financial investment clerks - class KVF 23 - came out on top. Congratulations!
A big thank you also goes to all the organisers and sponsors who made such a great tournament possible!
Three little episodes at the end:
All members of the Vefa 22-2 team of administrative assistants, who were not at school this week according to the timetable, sacrificed a day's holiday to take part in the tournament and came 10th. Many thanks and, of course, congratulations!
Secondly, the team of retailers (EK 23-3) claimed an incorrectly scored game, which was mistakenly counted as a win for them. This victory would have allowed them to fight for the top places, but instead they had to fight for the places further down the table. The team deserves great credit for their honesty and a big thank you for their fairness.
And finally, a small downer for the winning team: the only game that this team lost in the entire tournament was the one at the end against our teachers' selection.
