This year's World Speedskating Championships took place in Sulmona, Italy, from 17 to 20 September.
Our former student Ron Pucklitzsch from RSV 1990 Gera fulfilled his dream here and achieved his greatest sporting success. He became world champion in the spint distance over one lap.
